South to North Vietnam Tour 11 Days

Day 1


Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at Tan Sơn Nhat Airport, you will be privately transferred to your hotel in District 1 – the city center, so you can easily walk around to visit the city center.

Day 2

Ho Chi Minh City – Mekong Delta

7:40 – 8:30 am: Tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and start the journey to My
Tho – Ben Tre. On the way you will see Southern village’s rustic aesthetic on Vàm Cỏ Đông
River and paddy-field along the sides of the road.

09:50: Arrive at Mekong rest stop for 15 minutes in My Tho City, you’ll have time to rest.

10:00: Visit Vinh Trang pagoda. Tour guide will tell the history of Vĩnh Trang Pagoda-
the oldest pagoda in South.

10:50: On route to the pier, you will contemplate Rạch Miễu Bridge which is the
biggest river of West, connecting My Tho with Ben Tre.

11:10:  Board the cruise and move along the river while visiting floating houses. The cruise will go along Tiền River and pass through 4 islands: Long, Lân,
Quy, Phụng (Dragon, Unicorn, Tortoise, Phoenix).

11:40: Visit a bee farm and enjoy Honey Tea with bee pollen. Take pictures with Grass Python and Angel Banana – special fruit in Mekong Delta.

Relax your mind by rowing boat on small, peaceful river branches to get into local house of culture for enjoying “Đờn Ca Tài Tử” – A specific characteristic of Southern culture, then visit coconut candy villages.

13:00: At your home-stay enjoy a BBQ lunch with Vietnamese food and check in bungalow.

16:50: Check in boat again. Relaxing in the boat watching the Sunset on Tien river while enjoying Fishing on the Tien River

19:00: Have dinner with the local family food.  The rest of the evening at is at your pleasure. 

Day 3

Thoi Son Island – Ho Chi Minh City

Transfer to Halong Bay, Explore the World Natural Heritage, Stay overnight on cruise

07.00 – 8:00 am: Have a light breakfast at your homestay.
08:30 am: Cycle with local people to the market. You will buy yourself fish, pork, vegetables… and come back  to Tiny Garden Homestay cooking your lunch. Then have you free time to do activities such as visiting the orchard by riding a bike around the village.

13:30: You will be privately escorted by car to the Tiny Garden Bungalow and then taken back to Ho Chi Minh City. End of service.

Day 4

 Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Cu Chi Tunnels

Ho Chi Minh city is  known as a modern and biggest city in Vietnam but has its charming qualities. The avenues covered by green tree shadows, the French colonial structures still remain on Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Central Post Office and on the apartments in the center. The ancient pagodas bring a peaceful feeling, the China town is as vibrant as ever while the local markets are always busy all day. 

At 08.00, Our driver will pick you up from your hotel and we start our tour by visiting the War Remnants Museum. Then tour Chinatown to explore the Binh Tay (Cho Lon) market and Thien Hau pagoda in the morning.

Have lunch at local restaurant.

At 13.00, proceed to Cu Chi tunnels. The tunnels were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war. Afterward, have a go at shooting (on guest’s account) or enjoying cassava and drinking green tea. Both were as food used by Viet Cong during the War.

Return to your hotel at around 6.30pm.

Day 5

Flight to Hanoi                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

Morning you will be taken to Tan Son Nhat airport to Hanoi. After hotel check-in,  enjoy a free and easy day discovering the Hanoi Old Quarter.

Day 6

Hanoi City Tour

Start your tour  at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the former residence of president Ho Chi Minh, then One-Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam and built more than 1,000 years ago. Continue the city tour to Museum of Ethnology. After lunch at a local restaurant, then enjoy a leisurely one-hour cyclo tour through Hanoi. Visit the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple then a walking tour into the hidden alleys of Hanoi Old Quarter. Optional: If you are not interested in the Cylco tour, you have the option seeing the Water Puppet Show. Around 16:30, return to your hotel.

Day 7

Hanoi – Halong Bay (L & D included)                                                                                                              

09:00 – 09:30: This morning, you’ll be privately transferred to Hai Phong around 11h30.

12:00: Hop on board our luxurious craft and be be welcomed aboard and greeted with a complimentary drink. Our Crew will conduct a compulsory safety procedures session and then you are free to check into your cabin and freshen up. Take some time to have a look around the vessel or watch the magical landscape go by.

13:15: A special lunch of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites will be served. Dining on a luxury junk with fine food and drinks doesn’t come much better than this. We set sail for Lan Ha Bay passing to Da Chong islet where you can see a lighthouse built by the French over 100 years ago.

15:00: When lunch is about to finish, it is just nice that the Cruise complete its entry through Cua Van area to Lan Ha Bay (as part of Halong Bay). The area is surrounding of a lot extraordinary limestone karst landscapes. Guests can start their journey to explore Ba Trai Dao beach, doing the kayak to immersed in the crystal clear waters of the bay and/or enjoy swimming.

17:00: Back to main boat, and cruising to a place for staying overnight

17:30 – 18:30: Happy hour with special drink menu (Buy one get another one for free).

18:00: Our Vietnamese cooking demonstration is a great way to learn how to prepare delicious appetizers and we will guide you through the process.

19:15: Relish special Lapaci Dinner in restaurant. 

20:45 – 12:00: Your free time to relax with an exotic cocktail or whatever takes your fancy. Our bar has a wide range or wines, beers and liquors and is always a welcome sight for guests after a day on Bay. Order a Spa service or take any activities on boat cruise such as watching documentary movies, squid fishing or simply relax on our roof top deck under the cover of a star filled sky.

Day 8

Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay – Hanoi – Sapa 

06:30: The nicest time of the day on Lan Ha Bay is the morning. Head to the upper deck to participate in our daily Tai Chi sessions. Relax with an early morning cup of tea, coffee or juice anywhere you wish on the boat and watch the never ending miraculous scenery unfold before you

07:00: Light breakfast will be served in our restaurant (pastries, tea, coffee)

7:30 – 9:15: Enjoy the last stage of your trip to Dark & Bright cave and islets by local rowing boats which is a wild and mysterious beauty in the middle of the World Heritage. Back to our main board afterwards.

09:30: Check out of your cabin as we draw closer to the mainland. After a final early brunch and a last goodbye from our crew at 11:30, you will board our tender and head back to the wharf where you will be met by your return trip vehicle to transfer you to Hanoi.

12:10-12:30: Get on luxury van and get back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi at about 5PM.

20:00: Pick up at Vietnam Luxury Experience’s office and transfer to Hanoi railway station for boarding the Express Train to Lao cai. Overnight in an A/C soft sleeper wooden cabin (4 people/cabin). Get Lao Cai at about 5 a.m then the guide and shuttle bus pick up you to SaPa.

Day 9

Sapa – Y Linh H0 – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L and D included)                                                                   

After breakfast, you’ll walk through 3 villages in about 5 – 6 hours (12 kms in total) trekking throughout 3 hamlets – visit 2 different kinds of minority.

Trek down to Y Linh Ho village and Lao Chai village of the black H’mong people.

After a picnic lunch, keep on alongside Muong Hoa stream to Ta Van village of the Dzay.

Keep trekking to Cau May (Rattan Suspension bridge) and enjoy Muong Hoa valley beautiful landscape. Visit and stay overnight with a local family of the Dzay minority, with your tour guide and the house owners, we will set up a temporary cooking class to learn how to cook Vietnamese food for dinner.

Day 10

Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sa Pa – Hanoi  (B, L & D included)           

In the early morning you will be sure to be woken up by the households but lucky to see their daily life for a new day coming! Enjoy some pancakes made by your tour guide’s skillful hands.

Start a new trek into Hoang Lien Son National Park and see more stunning landscapes and other ethnic minority villages. Wander into Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Dao minority and then continue that trail to Su Pan village for lunch.

Enjoy a magnificent view of the beautiful waterfall and visit some local houses of the Dzao. Then take a standby car to return to Sapa.

After dinner at the hotel, you are then free time to stroll around Sapa town until your departure back to Hanoi at 6pm.                                                                                                 

Sleep on the highest quality cabin and get to Hanoi at 5h00 the next day.

Day 11

Hanoi – Free day – Flight home

Spend your last day free and easy visiting the Hanoi Old Quarter. Our driver will take you to Noi Bai Airport 3 hours before departure time. We hope you will leave Vietnam with some wonderful memories!
