Towards Central Vietnam, spend 3 days in Hoi An, a romantic lantern city like no other. Then further down south, see the best of Ho Chi Minh City including a day trip to the Chi Chu Tunnels. Moving on, go on a relaxing Mekong Delta boat tour to see iconic fishing villages with stilt houses & rice paddies. Spend the last few days in Phu Quoc where pristine white sands and coconut palm tree await you.

Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival in Hanoi

    Welcome to Hanoi, the heart of Vietnam which is considered as a blend of traditional and the modern beauty.

    At Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will welcome you, then take you to your hotel to check-in. After relaxing, our guide will take you to the theatre and we will enjoy a Water Puppet Show – A traditional art performance of Vietnam. After that, you will enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

  • Day 2

    Hanoi City Tour – Night Train to Sapa

    After breakfast at the hotel, our tour guide will pick you up, then we will start your Hanoi city tour. We will start with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here you can visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where the corpse of Uncle Ho kept. Next, you will visit the Presidential Palace – a charming French colonial style structure in the garden and Ho Chi Minh House on stilt. Visiting the house you will see the simple life of Ho Chi Minh – the president in Vietnamese’s spirit forever. We will finish this area with One Pillar Pagoda – one of the top attractions in Hanoi. This you cannot miss hence the special architecture.

    After lunch, you will continue your tour to the Temple of Literature – The very first University of Vietnam. The next destination will be the Museum of Ethnology to learn more about Vietnam’s Culture. Next, we will explore the Hanoi Old Quarter along with the ancient 36 ancient streets in a traditional cyclo. Your Cyclo driver will take you around slowly so that you will fully experience the sights and local culture. We will end the tour around 04.00 PM. Then it is at your leisure to go shopping and relax in Hanoi.

    In the evening, about 08.30 PM, our guide will come to your hotel and transfer you to Hanoi train station for departure to Lao Cai and spend overnight on the train.

  • Day 3

    Sapa – Muong Hum Market – Y Ty Commune

    7:30 AM: Your driver and tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Sapa town to whisk you away to Muong Hum market, situated in Muong Hum commune of Bat Xat district, Lao Cai province. The market is about 46 km from Sapa town and is only open on Sundays.

    The road to the market will take you to O Quy Ho Pass, which is 10 km away from Sapa town. From there, you will take a right turn to reach Khoang village. Moving further, you will reach Ta Giang Phinh village, which will offer you scenic views of its terraced rice fields. In the backdrop, you will enjoy the spectacular view of Five Finger Mountain (Ngũ Chỉ Sơn). The drive will continue through the winding road, culminating at the Muong Hum market in the valley.

    9 AM: After the enchanting drive, you will reach the market. Your guide will now show you around the market while telling you the history and cultural significance of the market.

    11 AM: The car will take you from Muong Hum Market to Y Ty commune via Den Thang village. You will also have ample time to take pictures of your beautiful surroundings which will include Lu rice field, Den Sang cardamom forest, and Nhi Cu San mountain. This place is next to the border between Vietnam and China.

    12:30 PM: You will have lunch at a local restaurant at Y Ty commune’s center.

    1:30 PM: After lunch, you will get to visit a local house of Ha Nhi people. Their houses are made with natural materials such as mud, bamboo, and wood.

    2:30 PM: Your driver will now bring you to Lao Cai. We will make a stop at Lung Po T-Junction, which is the starting point of the Red River in Vietnam. Return to Sa Pa.

  • Day 4

    Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van

    Following breakfast at your hotel, embark on a lovely trek along the buffalo trails of the surrounding hills. Pass several tribal villages, including Lao Chai and Ta Van, home to the Black H’Mong and Dzay minority peoples. Marvel at the spectacular scenery, inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can ever meet. Once on the valley floor, appreciate the beauty of the surrounding valley, walled by the multi-layered rice terraces and scattered villages. Return to Sapa to have dinner. Free time walking around the city center before your transfer to Lao Cai Railway Station. Return to Hanoi by train. Overnight on the train.

  • Day 5

    Hanoi – Halong Bay

    05.30 – 06.00 AM: Upon arrival at the Hanoi Railway station, you will walk to the mini-hotel near the train station for a rest and breakfast.

    08.00 AM: Our driver will pick you up at the hotel, departing 3.5 hours to Halong Bay – the World Natural Heritage recognized by UNESCO twice. Upon arrival, embark the cruise and enjoy welcome drinks while having a tour briefing. A sumptuous lunch will be served on board while the ship sails further to the Bay, make your time to admire its dramatic limestone islands.

    You can rest at your leisure on the sundeck or relax in your cabin. In the afternoon, you will have time to swim in the warm and calm water or go kayaking. Kayaking is very easy for all levels and ages to do. Our expert and experienced guide will instruct you with the basic paddling steps before leading you to explore the extraordinary beauty of Halong Bay. After 1 hour exploring the bay, we will get back to the cruise for relaxation before attending Cooking class in the later in the afternoon.

  • Day 6

    Ha Long Bay – Hanoi – Hoi An                   

    We will continue our journey on Halong Bay in the early morning. Join a Tai Chi Class on the sun deck – this should not be missed when on the cruise.

    Sitting on the upper deck; you can relax, sight-see while taking photos of the magnificent beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay.

    After breakfast, we will explore one of the finest and widest grottoes of Halong Bay. Next, continue cruising and passing the bay with a magnificent scene.

    At 10.30 AM, our boat cruises back to the jetty, and you will enjoy the last moment in the bay before having a traditional Vietnamese lunch.

    Around noon you leave the boat and depending on the availability of time after disembarking, our driver will take you to go straight to Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi for a short flight to Danang City.

    Upon arrival at Danang Airport, a private vehicle will be waiting for you for the 50-minute drive to your hotel in Hoi An to check in and relax. Overnight in Hoi An.

  • Day 7

    Hoi An Full Day Tour

    08.30 AM: Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby, then you will cycle around Hoi An through paddy fields, Ba Le market, kindergarten … until reaching Van Lang fisherman village and Bay Mau coconut water forest – about 7 hectares, surrounded by mangrove forests, canals, houses covered by coconut waterleaf. This place had been a refuge for people and local soldiers during the Vietnam War. Nowadays, it is famous for providing the freshest seafood.

    You will be warmly welcomed by Mr. Han family– a family from 3 generations, taste green tea, and stroll through the village. You will row a basket boat within the hands of skillful locals and discover their techniques of traditional fishery in water coconut forest.

    Return to Mr. Han’s family home to enjoy a foot bath with medicinal herbs, traditional therapeutic practice before getting ready to prepare lunch with a local family. Lunch will feature many local delicacies, such as Tam Huu spring rolls, Banh Xeo local pancakes, grilled fish in banana leaf and others.

    After lunch, relax during your free time and take a short rest before returning to your hotel at about 3.30PM. Free time. Overnight in Hoi An.

  • Day 8

    Hoi An – Free Day

    Today is a totally free day on your own to relax in Hoi An. You could spend your time on the beach (if the weather is nice), cycle to the countryside, spend time by the hotel’s swimming pool, taste yummy dishes. So much of Hoi An is waiting for your discovery. Overnight in Hoi An.

  • Day 9

    Hoi An- Ho Chi Minh   

    Following breakfast, it’s your free time to walk around the Hoi An ancient town, go shopping, admiring the ancient architecture or relax at the beach.

    About 2 hours before the flight, our driver will come to your hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

    Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City – one of the most modern cities in Vietnam which give you a fascinating insight into rich culture and history. When arriving at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel for check-in.

  • Day 10

    Ho Chi Minh

    08.30 AM: After breakfast, your private guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. A one and half hour drive takes you to Cu Chi Tunnels where you’ll experience web-like tunnels system (more than 200 km in length) which used to be the shelters of guerrillas during the Vietnam war against American troops.

    After lunch at a local restaurant, you will have a city tour including the Reunification Hall, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. Around this site, the Communist tanks rolled on the morning of April 30, 1975, as Saigon fell. This fascinating building is filled with history still fresh in the minds of many. The tour also includes the War Remnants Museum, the Old Post Office, Chinatown, and Ben Thanh Market – the central market for the city and one of the liveliest areas.

    About 04.30 PM, the tour finishes and you will be dropped off at your hotel and then you are free to relax. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 11

    Ho Chi Minh – Mekong- Ho Chi Minh             

    07.30 AM: Today our guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby and take you to the Mekong Delta and we will explore the unique life of local people here.

    Cai Be floating market is the first stop of the journey exploring the beauty of Mekong Delta. From early morning the waterway becomes the maze of wooden boats packed with fruits, vegetables, food. Sellers hang up a long pole with a sample on the top to show buyers their products, which is a unique feature of this distinctive market. Afterward, we may make some stopovers at local workshops to learn how rice paste, coconut candy, and pop-rice are made.

    There is also a handicraft village nearby where you can see how the locals make rice sheets, fish sauce, soya sauce, cooking salt and sewn coconut-leaves for cottage proof.

    After a delicious local food lunch, we will travel around in a rowboat and see the traditional wooden houses, palm trees and daily activities such as fishing and picking up fruits in the Mekong Delta. You can also stop to visit a nursery garden where young trees of different types of fruits are cultivated by the skillful growers of the Mekong Delta. The cruise will end at around 3.30PM. Then drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

  • Day 12

    Ho Chi Minh – Phu Quoc

    After breakfast, it’s your free time to walk around the vibrant Ho Chi Minh city, go shopping, or relax at the hotel.

    About 2 hours before your flight, our driver will come to your hotel and drive you to the airport for your flight to Phu Quoc – which is among the top 5 hidden Islands of the world. Welcome on arrival and check in your hotel. Relax at your leisure.

  • Day 13

    Phu Quoc – Free Time

    Today you are totally free at leisure to relax at your resort or on the charming beach. Enjoy delicious seafood and other dishes. Overnight in Phu Quoc.

    Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh

    Have breakfast and relax at your leisure until your transfer to the airport. Flight back Ho Chi Minh City to connect your departure flight. Room is at your disposal until 12:00 noon only. Meals on your own. End of tour.
